ALWD CELEBRATES WORLD WATER DAY 2014 WITH A BANG!

With the theme "WATER & ENERGY", ALWD celebrates World Water day 2014 with a bang. A week-long occasion started on March 17 with the Information Campaign on the importance of safe water (contaminant-fee) and water conservation. With the support of the Local Government of alaminos thru Mayor Eladio S. Magampon, M.D. and the Municipal Health Officer Dra. Victoria FUle Basilan, ALWD visited a number of barangays in Alaminos specially those which are not yet served by the water district, informing them on the Water Quality Standards and the importance of proper water treatment. Dra. Basilan also discussed the different deceases that may be brought about by contaminated water and she taught them some basic techniques in treating water.

The occasion ended with the celebration for the holy Mass and with a motorcade on March 22, which is the actual celebration of "International World Water Day". As a sign of empowerment, a boodle fight was prepared for the ALWD employees after the motorcade.
