ALWD CONDUCTS TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITY

The Alaminos Laguna Water District (ALWD) conducted a Team Building activity last May 16-17, 2014 at Villa Luciana Resort in Sta. Clara, Sto. Thomas, Batangas. It was participated by the ALWD employees and its Board of Directors. The event kicked off with an opening prayer and national anthem led by Mr. Emilio D. Alvarez and Mrs. Jinny Joy Cachero, Engr. Emiliano D. Castillo. A preparatory discussion was also led by the Chairperson of ALWD's Board of Directors, Mrs. Candelaria S. Macasaet, underscoring the importance of values in the workplace.

Everyone participated in the games and activities that support organizational development thru effective communication, improved professional relations and enhanced leadership skills. ALWD Board Director Mr. Gil P. Fandino, was the lead evaluator of the activities. Dir. Fandino emphasized on the importance of values and teamwork, as the best foundation in building a team or a company. Meanwhile Dir. Luz M. De Villa discussed the importance of good leadership in an organization.

Further, another Board of Director, Engr. Leonardo L. Cosico stressed that workplace behavior ethics is a core value in an organization. Ethics is an integrity-based decision-making procedure that results to an increased efficiency and strong working relations.

Although the team building activity was only an overnight evemt, it still provided the opportunity to improve camarederie and appreciation among employees. ath the end of the day, this will remain true: regardless of differences, we strive shoulder to shoulder and we will succeed because we believe in each other.
